EXPERIENCE
Individual, Family & Group Counselling
  • 16 years experience counselling clients with eating disorders, as an individual and family therapist and facilitating psycho-education groups, psycho-therapeutic groups, support groups and family therapy.  Member of “Critical Incident Stress Debriefing” for Child and Youth Mental Health.
  • Over 30 years experience in nursing including spinal-cord rehab., palliative care, home care & 24 years in mental health where I focussed on providing psycho-social counselling and teaching life skills
  • 3 years experience psychiatric in-patient nursing including 1 year on a crisis unit
  • 2 years volunteer work at the Esquimalt Neighborhood House- providing individual and group counselling (Women’s Self-esteem Group) with supervision by trainer Peggy Hanson, MA.
  • 2 years family therapy practise with reflecting team and supervision from David Todtman, PhD, and Jayne Weatherbe, MA.
